People are not revolting over the climate change issue because it is treated as an Also-Ran in the news. Check your own NYT coverage. Is it front-page news every day? No. Sports make the front page more than global warming. If Fox News can make us care about Natalie Holloway and the “Runaway Bride” then I believe proper coverage by the NYT could make people care about global warming.

what are the effects of global warming

I couldn't agree with you more. It's not that global warming has a minor interest because it's a minor issue, people are unaware to global warming because the media don't give it the proper coverage. hopefully, it will change.

About Arctic Economics

  • We'll have a lot of decisions to make in the face of Arctic climate change. This blog is about the range of available choices, and about the tradeoffs involved in making them. Ben Muse, an Alaskan economist, is the blogger. Muse works for a resource management agency. However, any opinions expressed here are his and not necessarily the positions of any former or current employer. In the interests of full disclosure, Muse's current employer has fisheries, marine habitat, endangered species, and marine mammal management responsibilities in the Arctic.
